Hi! I’m Laura.

My goal is write genuine, raw material that encompasses the hilarity and sometimes heaviness of everyday life.

Connecting with readers, I want this to be a place where you can relate, laugh and find some hope.

I’m the girl who was “never having kids until 30” who now, at 29, has 3 biologically and is adopting another!

My husband, Jason, is a youth pastor and I totally feel like an unlikely pastor’s wife.

I kind of like him.

I straight-up love me some Jesus. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

I have a heart for the oppressed, and through things like adoption and being a Noonday Ambassador, I’m trying to make a {small} difference in the world.

When I get really excited about something, you’ll hear me say things like: “Holla!” or “Shut. Up!”

I have a social work background, and use it on unsuspecting teens as a youth leader at our church {wink, wink}.

may have developed a strong affinity for coffee as of late. Give me all the girly, frilly, sweet stuff.

Me at a cruise-ship Motown Trivia Party. Totally in my element. Someone stop me. I think I'm a middle-aged African-American woman sometimes.

My three little loves are Landon (4), Charlotte (3) and Aiden (1). They light up my life! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m often doing a load of cloth diapers, baking muffins or making silly pirate voices. It’s the most rewarding and challenging job, ever.

If you’re into social stalking like me, come on over to Facebook, tweet at me on Twitter or see a buncha pics on my fave, Instagram.

Thankful for a life I never would have imagined, living simply and surrounded by moments of grace unending.
